Infrastructure manager

Apply On behalf of our client, an international steel production company, ManpowerGroup is looking for a candidate to fill the position: Infrastructure manager 

Job duties:

• Planning, organize, and manage infrastructure staff and/or consultants to ensure the stable and secure operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure (including developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems)manage end-user customer service and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Directs and coordinates voice, network and data information systems and staff.
• Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation.
• Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, voice, PDA's, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring.
• Works with consultants to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
• Coordinates with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.
• Evaluates network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations. Checks systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
• Establishes and controls systems access and security.
• Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage.
• Monitors customer service and maintains network stability, collects and analyzes network and memory utilization, and installs and tests software upgrades.
• Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.
• Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services.
• Develops or establishes strong relationships with service providers.
• Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
• Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
• Trains users in the operations of office productivity applications.
• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. − Performs other non-essential duties as assigned.
• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use.
• Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software. Responsible for on-site and off-site data centers.
• Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
• Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
• Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.

Job requirements
 

• At least 5+ years of experience in same or similar positions
