For our client, AIMA Construction, a leading construction company specializing in residential, commercial, infrastructure and hotel projects, we are seeking an experienced Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess a strong educational background, extensive experience in luxury villa or resort or hospitality and residential projects, and a proven track record of working on projects valued at USD 100 million or more.

The Chartered Architect will be responsible for leading the architectural design process, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions, and collaborating closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver world-class construction projects in the Maldives.

Opis

Architectural Design & Project Management

•  Lead the end-to-end architectural design process from concept development to project completion.
• Develop innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective architectural solutions.
• Ensure compliance with international building codes, local regulations, and sustainability standards.
•  Review and approve conceptual, schematic, and detailed design drawings.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, MEP consultants, interior designers, and project managers to ensure design integrity.
•  Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure projects adhere to design specifications and quality standards.

Technical & Compliance Oversight

•  Ensure all projects meet local Maldivian construction regulations, zoning laws, and environmental policies.
• Supervise the selection of materials, finishes, and construction methodologies aligned with international standards.
•  Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot design-related challenges in large-scale projects.

Stakeholder & Client Collaboration

• Work closely with clients, investors, and developers to translate their vision into functional and aesthetically appealing designs.
• Present design concepts, feasibility reports, and technical justifications to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality materials for luxury projects.

Sustainability & Innovation

• Integrate eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and sustainable design principles into projects.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, innovative construction techniques, and smart building technologies.
• Implement modular and prefabricated construction methods where applicable to improve efficiency.

Zahtjevi

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
•  Must hold Chartered Architect Certification (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in architectural design, planning, and execution.
• Proven experience working on luxury villa, resort, hospitality, and high-end residential projects.
• Must have handled projects with a value of USD 100 million or more.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, and other architectural software.
• •Strong knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
• Expertise in structural coordination, MEP integration, and sustainable design
