Process Engineer

• Continuous development and implementation of production processes in compliance with best process practices and for optimal product quality
• Designs and implements systems and equipment procedures for production facilities (designs processes, tests, and monitors equipment, updates current system processes, and performs risk assessments)
• Performs processes and engineering design, including but not limited to piping systems, pump hydraulics, tanks and vessels, heat transfer equipment, control equipment, and process equipment
• Develops project documents including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, design bases, schedules, project estimates, bid documents, equipment specifications, etc.
• Plans and organizes project work for a multidisciplinary team including electrical designers, mechanical designers, civil designers, procurement, and administrative personnel in support of these tasks
• Research, designs, and specifies equipment, controls and processes for chemical, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and other industrial systems
• Establishes safety procedures for individuals working with hazardous chemicals and in Atex zones
• Assists the Engineering Department in planning, development and procurement of new equipment as required
• Conducts testing and monitors process performance throughout the production process
• Troubleshoots problems related to manufacturing processes
• Evaluates processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety
