Infrastructure engineer

Apply On behalf of our client Arcelor Mittal, an international steel production company, Manpower BiH is looking for a candidate to fill the position: Infrastructure Midrange Engineer

Job Description: The IT Infrastructure Midrange Engineer will be responsible for designing, transforming, and evangelizing midrange designs. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in IT infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.

General Objective: Design, transform, and evangelize midrange designs.
Responsibilities:
•    Transform the infrastructure to meet new security needs using on-premises or cloud technology.
•    Maintain and improve IT security through a hardening process.
•    Collaborate with the virtual team across the segment to ensure proper reporting and documentation in collaboration with the IT Segment and IT Segment Architect.
•    Propose and deploy new designs that address new business challenges.
•    Utilize PaaS and IaaS as much as possible in accordance with the Segment Architect.
•    Define new possibilities using Infrastructure as Code and automatic deployment in accordance with the Segment Architect.
•    Collaborate with other teams to provide best practices across Long Products Zenica and segments.
•    Support Active Directory for the Europe Long Product Segment.
•    Address any IT security or performance issues.
•    Propose solutions to transform the overall IT infrastructure across Zenica to achieve a more flexible IT infrastructure using software-defined infrastructure.
•    Automate basic tasks to improve the team's time effectiveness.
•    Provide solutions for service requests following the approved design.
•    Provide documentation (schemas, how-to guides, deployment guides) to the Level 2 Team.
•    Drive transformation projects across the entity.
•    Follow ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, CMDB, etc.).

Education:
•    Bachelor's degree
Minimum Language Proficiency:
•    Bosnian and English (Advanced Level)
Other Minimum Requirements:
•    Background in IT Infrastructure Midrange and Security
•    Security knowledge in Server, Network, Identity and Access Management, and Workstation Environment
•    Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Solutions (Desktop OS, Server OS, O365, Azure, etc.)
•    Knowledge of Cloud environments (Microsoft Azure)
•    Good understanding of O365 challenges and cloud proxy technology
•    Strong knowledge in IT security and the ability to design secure and maintainable solutions
•    Knowledge of SAN/NAS technology
•    Familiarity with Network Technology (Cisco)
•    Excellent communication skills for both IT and non-IT users
•    Ability to provide documentation, processes, and procedures for all security solutions
•    Experience in managing transformation projects
•    Autonomous and open-minded
•    Ability to manage high-pressure situations for critical incidents
•    Team player
