On behalf of our client, MyRight, an international disability rights organisation working within international development cooperation to promote equal rights, inclusion, and independent living for persons with disabilities worldwide, Manpower Bosnia and Herzegovina is seeking a qualified professional for the position of:Finance Manager & Controller

Operating across multiple countries and supported by international donors, MyRight works closely with partners worldwide to create meaningful and sustainable change.

Description

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial analysis processes.
  • Ensure effective financial follow-up and support management decision-making.
  • Oversee accounting activities, year-end closing, annual accounts, and external audits.
  • Ensure accurate donor reporting and compliance with donor agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, financial procedures, and governance processes.
  • Monitor liquidity, financial risks, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Support grant applications and contribute financial input to funding proposals and new projects.
  • Coordinate and support the work of the four-member Finance & Administration Team.
  • Collaborate closely with Programme, Communications & Fundraising teams.
  • Support Board-related processes and organisational governance.
  • Maintain relationships with donors, auditors, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or financial management roles with independent responsibility.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with accounting, year-end closing, and audit processes.
  • Experience working with donor-funded projects, grants, NGOs, international organisations, UN agencies, embassies, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial governance, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Ability to translate donor requirements and regulatory frameworks into practical financial processes.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong digital literacy and experience working with financial systems.
  • Experience with Sida, ForumCiv, or similar donor-funded programmes.
  • Experience within civil society, development cooperation, or international organisations.
  • Experience supporting Board governance processes.
  • Knowledge of the Swedish language is a plus
  • Experience with Xledger and Stonex.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach.
  • Well-organised, proactive, and self-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player comfortable working in an international environment.
  • hybrid/remote role, with regular in-person meetings in Sarajevo
  • Goal-oriented working hours.
  • Occasional travel to Sweden.
