Description
- Identify, interview, and hire the initial core team of specialists. Your technical background will be the filter to ensure we hire "doers," not just "talkers."
- Provide hands-on administration for our MSSQL, Postgres, and Linux/Windows environments during the initial phase
- Implement ITIL-based processes for Lifecycle Management, Performance Monitoring, and Backup/Recovery
- Act as the primary bridge between the Sarajevo team and the corporate headquarters in Austria
Requirements
Qualifications (The "Must-Haves")
- Proven Technical Foundation: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Database Administration (MSSQL, Postgres) and System Administration (Windows Server, Linux/Ubuntu). Experience with DB2 or Storage Hardware is a significant advantage.
- At least 3–5 years in a formal Team Lead or Management position. You should have a track record of managing people, not just projects.
- Deep enough technical knowledge to conduct rigorous technical interviews and ensure the quality of every hire.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; German is highly appreciated and will be a major differentiator.
- Databases: MSSQL, Postgres, (DB2).
- OS: Windows Server, Linux Ubuntu.
- Architecture: Focus on High Availability, Compliance, and Disaster Recovery.
- Hardware: Server and Storage lifecycle management.
