On behalf of our client, Manpower is looking for an experienced Chemical Engineer with a strong background in the process industry, particularly in chemical, carbon, or mineral sectors. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in chemical process engineering, plant operations, and water treatment systems, with a proven ability to develop and optimize technologies, processes, and equipment in line with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of the engineering team in the implementation and development of technologies and projects, with a focus on chemical and process water systems.
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute assigned technical and commercial activities within designated projects, sub-projects, and processes, including process water treatment and integration into production.
Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable codes, industry standards, and internal procedures, while facilitating effective communication and coordination across disciplines and stakeholders.
Manage procurement and technical evaluation of equipment, including engagement and negotiations with suppliers.
Represent the engineering team in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers, contributing to resolving technical and operational challenges.
Provide technical input for project proposals and feasibility studies.
Develop and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with national and international standards.
Support preventive and corrective actions, as well as root cause analysis for production issues and process non-conformities.
Drive continuous improvement of production processes, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, including water reuse and optimization strategies.
Conduct research and development activities, laboratory analyses, and validation of new testing methods.
Perform quality control through data collection, processing, and reporting for solid and liquid products, additives, fresh and process water, and newly developed materials.
Ensure traceability of materials and processes in line with control plans and applicable standards.
Develop verification plans and carry out internal calibration of laboratory and production measuring instruments.
Lead or support laboratory development projects, including selection and procurement of analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, and consumables.
Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor in alignment with company objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Relevant work experience in the process industry (chemical, carbon, minerals)
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Systematic and analytical approach with high self-motivation
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work in cross-functional environments
