Accounting and Controlling Manager

On behalf of our client, ATN Global, fast-growing 3PL company serving clients around the world and offering expedited shipping solutions to fit just about any need, Manpower BiH is looking for someone to join them as in the role of the Accounting and Controlling Manager 

Job description

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, as well as monthly management/controlling reports.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop reports to support management in performance monitoring and business planning.
• Ensure accurate recording of all accounting transactions, including the registry of supporting documentation.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger/sub-ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely bank payments in compliance with company policies
• Ensure full compliance with internal financial policies, BiH accounting standards and regulations, as well as US tax rules.
• Communicate with the BiH bookkeeping service agencies and the US CPA to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Support the Head of Finance and Accounting in completing and submitting all regulatory and tax returns on time.
• Ensure team adherence to internal controls in day-to-day activities, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.
• Provide operational guidelines, coaching, and on-the-job training to the team, driving continuous process improvements.
• Timely and accurate reporting and management of all accounting and controlling processes 
• Timely closing of accounting periods (month-end, year-end) 
• Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports 
• Completion and approval of financial controls (monthly, quarterly, annually) 
• Coordinating the preparation of reports, budgets and forecasts 
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies 
• Maintaining compliance with financial regulations and standards for all countries of operation. 
• Successful performance management and development of the accounting team 
• Leading the financial controlling team in the preparation and analysis of financial and management reports to support strategic decision making. 
• Overseeing the development and implementation of financial models and analyses to provide insights into business performance and profitability. 
• Preparing for audits and coordinating with external auditors. 
• Addressing audit recommendations effectively 
• Management and mitigation of financial risks 
• Achievement of departmental KPIs 

Role requirements: 

• Relevant accounting certificates and / or qualifications 
• 5-7 years of experience in similar roles 
• At least 2 years of experience leading other people 
• Experience of process development and improvement 
• High levels of flexibility, autonomy, ability to work under pressure and problem-solving skills 
• Demonstrated experience of working in an international environment 
• Excellent communication skills in English and B/H/S 
• Digital literacy and competence 
• Experience of US CPA compliance and QuickBooks software is considered an asset
